CITC is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) to provide skills assessments and performance verification testing produced by the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP). This program was developed to evaluate the existing knowledge and skill-level of experienced journey-level workers and identify skill-gaps where more training is recommended.
CITC offers Skills Assessments and Performance Verifications in the following sectors of the construction industry:
A transcript is generated based on the results of the assessment which includes a training prescription highlighting skill-gaps where more training is recommended.
Performance Verifications are hands-on tests designed to evaluate the journey-level workers ability to perform the tasks covered in the written assessment. The individual must demonstrate his/her ability to perform the defined tasks in a controlled, observable, and measurable manner.
The NCACP Commercial Assessments offered by CITC can benefit employers in many ways. Employers use the assessments to evaluate and improve the knowledge and skill of their current workforce, target the training needs of their company for upcoming projects, or as part of their hiring process to document existing knowledge and skill of an applicant.
As part of CITC’s commitment to training, we also offer On-Demand training based on the assessment results of your company. We will help determine what NCCER training modules are needed to fill knowledge and skill gaps, producing a highly skilled and confident workforce.
